Continuity strategy
Leverage is used to acquire a majority stake in companies that offer:
- Predictable sales, profits and cash flow,
- Cash flow that exceeds investment and working capital requirements,
- A competitive costs structure, or a structure that may be rapidly improved,
- A first-rate existing or potential management team,
- Strong market positions and, if possible, market leadership.

Transformation strategy
A majority or minority control stake is acquired
in companies with a portfolio of distinct and disposable business activities and under-utilised assets, with substantial market share and competitive advantages. This strategy concentrates on:
- Focusing each company on its activities. Operating margins are boosted by freeing up working capital, reducing costs, and developing new business,
- Setting up an experienced management team and using performance-based remuneration to motivate them to achieve objectives.
