Our history

When LBO France was incorporated in 1985, it was one of France's very first private equity funds.
The company, which is independently owned, seeks leveraged buyout transactions where it can generally acquire a majority stake.

Over the years, LBO France has invested in 87 companies, representing a total enterprise value of €16bn.

LBO France mainly targets French firms, or companies with French management.

The various funds operated by LBO France are not specialised in any particular sector, but are open to a broad spectrum of transactions with enterprise value running between €10m to over €2.5 bn. From its headquarters in Paris, LBO France has led some of the most impressive deals in the history of French private equity: LBOs on companies such as Actaris, Materis, Terreal, Wheelabrator, Cegelec and Consolis.
