ESG and Debt

In coherence with our global ESG approach, we have designed a specific policy for our debt activity. Depending on business sectors, the size of the borrower, and the nature of risks, we will

  • Either review public information and have a formal discussion with the equity sponsor based on a house questionnaire and Q&A, or
  • Send a questionnaire to the borrower and then ask for an annual reporting.

LBO France is a signatory of the Equator Principles (EPs). The EPs are a risk management framework adopted by financial institutions, for determining and managing environmental and social risk potentially generated by projects. This is a global standard for due diligence and monitoring that supports responsible risk decision-making in Project Finance.
