Seedstars Africa Ventures is one of LBO France's African investment strategies. Created by a team of experts based across Africa and in partnership with the Seedstars accelerator, the fund invests in forward-thinking African start-ups in fields such as energy, telecoms, fintech, agritech and health. Seedstars Africa Ventures responds to a crucial challenge in Africa, where early-stage venture capital remains insufficient.
The products and services provided by the supported companies benefit from strong demand, driven by a young demographic, rapid digitalization and the emergence of a middle class. Additionally, they face little competition from the traditional private sector or the public sector, further accelerating their adoption.
Benefiting from a strong local presence, particularly through its offices in Dakar and Nairobi, as well as capitalising on Seedstars' continental presence and the LBO France platform, the Fund provides, in addition to financial resources, local and international operational resources enabling entrepreneurs to accelerate their growth and move through successive financing rounds.
